In the course, computational approaches used in quantum dynamics will be realized in C++ programs. Basic C++ code will be provided, but independent C++ programming is required. A very brief introduction to C++ will be given. Without prior exposure to C++ the learning curve will be steep, but managable with some extra effort.
- Develop hands-on understanding of computational methods in quantum dynamics as introduced in the course "Computational Quantum Dynamics"
- Improve your programming skills by learning from the given C++ examples and facing realistic challenges
Some experience with C++, Fortran, Matlab, or Java; basic knowledge of numerical methods.
Teams of 2-3 people should be formed during the introduction phase.
Grades will be based on the presentations by the teams.
