The goal of this course is to introduce concepts, methods and modern applications of quantum field theory with special emphasis on the path integral formalism.

Content:

Introduction, Canonical Quantization (free scalar, spinor and vector fields), Path integral for Quantum Mechanics, Path integral for fields, Interactions, Correlation functions, Generating functional, Wick's theorem, Feynman rules and diagrams, Scattering processes and cross-sections, Symmetries, Renormalization
