The goal of this course is to introduce concepts, methods and modern applications of quantum field theory with special emphasis on the path integral formalism. The main focus will be scalar fields.

Introduction, Canonical Quantization, Path integral for Quantum Mechanics, Path integral for fields, Interactions, Correlation functions, Generating functional, Wick's theorem, Feynman rules and diagrams, Scattering processes and cross-sections, Symmetries, Renormalization
