Basics: electronic properties of semiconductors,charge carrier transport and scattering, optical properties of semiconductors, excitons and field effects, semiconductor interfaces, wave guides, technological aspects devices: light emitting devices, laser diodes, photo detectors, solar cells, modulators, switches, amplifiers, optical fibers
